Lily Pond Deck – Knysna Forest Venue
Our newly build, rustic, 64 square meter, under-roof Lily Pond Deck, is the ideal place for our guests to enjoy a wholesome Farmhouse Breakfast or an unforgettable Wellness Retreat.
Nestled against the ancient and magical Knysna forest and overlooking a mesmerizing Lily Pond, nature is the perfect backdrop. Lily Pond Deck can comfortably accommodate 40 guests.
No loud music, deck closes at 10pm and events are only organized for in-house guests, so all 5 cottages must be hired for minimum 2 nights over weekends.
Meal Options
LILY POND BREAKFAST
We offer guests an option to enjoy Breakfast at Forest Edge, it will either be at our picturesque under-roof Lily Pond Deck or on your Cottage Verandah (depending on the number of people that has booked breakfast). The cost is R160 / adult & R80 / child under 7. PLEASE NOTE, THESE MEALS MUST BE PRE-BOOKED AT LEAST 24Hrs BEFORE & IS NOT INCLUDED, UNLESS SPECIFIED. We’ve outsourced this service to our managing couple, so you need to please pay them directly upfront on arrival, for all meals booked.
Our Managers also offers a DINNER option. This must also be pre-booked. Please email management@forestedge.co.za to discuss your meal requirements and to get a quote directly from them.
Here’s how it works:
- Pre-order when you book by adding your requirements in the notes section.
- Once checked in, pre-order at least 1 day ahead of your required meal – this can be arranged with reception.
- We keep stock for average demand; avoid disappointment (e.g. sudden large orders on busy days) – so give us a couple days’ notice to be sure.
- Food order service not available on Sundays / Public Holidays.
- Orders need to be pre-paid either when placed, or in cash on arrival.
- These packs/meals are based on a per-person basis.
- You can also pre-order fire wood and even cottage servicing for your cooking day so that you can leave the mess for us…
