It’s evident from the Cottage Gallery, that we’ve been able to retain the “woodcutter” look and feel to create a close replica and ensure an authentic Knysna Forest experience. We do however spend a lot of time and money in ensuring that these cottages and our grounds are meticulously maintained to ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay with us in the Knysna Forest. The furniture and equipment is also of a high standard to add to the comfort of our valued guests. Our guests often mention, in their reviews, how beautifully maintained and equipped the cottages are.
This Cottage Gallery is a representation of a typical cottage at Forest Edge. There are 2 types of cottages, Standard and Luxury. All the cottages have exactly the same floor plan, the biggest difference is in the “extras”. FairyDen and FoxGlove are Standard cottages, while FieldMouse, FroggyPond and FireFly are Luxury cottages. Luxury Cottages has Queen size beds in the main bedroom, closed Fire Places, DSTV, Weber Braai on the Veranda, daily Servicing included (excluding Sundays & Public Holidays) and FieldMouse & FroggyPond have en-suite showers as well.

Our cottages are fully equipped and include things like a microwave, fridge / freezer, stove, WiFi, flatscreen TV, DVD player, library, hair dryer, iron, braai grid & tongues, fan, electric blankets on all beds, coffee & tea station and much more…
