Visiting South Africa post Pandemic
Travelling for people all around the world was put on hold for 2 years or more due to the pandemic. Regions and Countries were severely strained that were reliant on the tourist trade.
Many companies, restaurants and establishments sadly either closed their doors or had to move in a new direction to adapt to the new life that we all had to endure.
This whole process and all the rules and regulations that were enforced made travelling a very complicated, costly and stressful process, and this added even more to the pressure that Businesses in South Africa and around the world faced.
But with anything in life, this too passed and it was a sad, and stressful time for many people, but in the same breath, it was a time for people to stop, reset and re-evaluate their own personal life and that of their business. People evolved and for many this granted some new opportunities to grow.
We at Forest Edge are still eternally grateful for all the support we received through our campaign, from our friends, family and followers to stay afloat during that time. Even though we are not at full capacity yet, we are so grateful to welcome all our new and regular visitors back.
It has been so great to go to town and hear foreign accents, and welcoming international visitors to our shores again and for things to return to “normal” or the new normal that is. Forest Edge Nature Lover’s Retreat has over the years become a place for people to just come be in peace, relax and restore and we love being able to offer people this kind of peace, especially visiting South Africa post-Pandemic. Many people have preferred seeking the peace, quiet and tranquillity of nature, instead of the hustle and bustle of crazy cities.
South Africa has always been a very resilient country, and the people are really going out of their way to make people visiting South Africa post-pandemic, feel as welcome and safe as possible.
Knysna was just voted the best dorpie by KFM Radio, and the Western Cape has also received several international awards for being one of the best places to travel in the world. These awards and statuses have helped the industry immensely and we are proud to call this our home.
If you are looking for a more relaxed time during your stay in South Africa, Forest Edge Nature Lover’s Retreat, Knysna the Garden Route offers so much beauty and peace. We are nestled right on the edge of the Knysna Forest, surrounded by quaint little towns each with their own magic, offering the person visiting South Africa post-Pandemic the perfect balance between nature and city life, something for everyone!
We look forward to welcoming you!
Forest Greetings
