Surfing? Yes, you can enjoy both the Forest and the Ocean. We have some of the most beautiful beaches. Keurboomstrand, near Plettenbergbay as well as Victoria Bay, are both great places to catch a wave.
Family Beach day
Buffelsbay beach is a stunning beach, great for swimming, a long walk, tanning, and building sandcastles if your lucky you might even find a sand dollar.

The Garden Route offers so much rich history and there are some great places to visit and learn more about our Countries rich history and make for some great educational outings for the kids.

Knysna Mall as well as the Knysna Waterfront Quays have some interesting little shops and make for a nice outing.

You don’t need to take a trip out to the heads, you can drive right up to the East Head Café, and view the heads from the trail there.

Drives along our beautiful passes, we have picnic baskets available in each cottage, we can pack one

Birding
There are 2 bird hides along the Touwriver that are great for identifying birds, capturing or just enjoying their presence.
And of course, for those Nature-Loving souls, Forest Edge has, its own magic on offer, from a Labyrinth, Kiddies play area, loads of insects and for the kids to identify, two ponds frequented by all
